Replacing plywood floor in fiberglass boat. Marine plywood is often used to build boat interiors and to replace flooring during boat renovations. The most common material used for boat flooring is bc plywood and it is also used for fiberglass boats in particular. Start removing the old damaged material using an electric saw to cut it. Note that even though the plywood has been snapped and left exposed to rain and wind it still holds its integrity.
Wood and fiberglass in hot summers and frozen cold winters. Mix and apply fiberglass filler to eliminate any air gaps between the plywood and fiberglass and round off the edges of the plywood. The length of the wood screws is equal to the combined thickness of the floor and the marine plywood. Note if you d like to improve the final looks with a smoother finish allow the filler to harden completely and then spend an additional 30 minutes grinding it down.
Set the repair patch in place and use the cordless drill to drive the screws and complete the repair patch.
