Removing dried egg from vinyl siding. Hold this towel on the egg for an hour or so a 2x4 can be leaned against the wall to hold up the towel. Water is going to be the primary helper in removing egg from a vehicle. This is one of the most common ways to remove egg stains from a house. If the egg has already dried the stain will be more stubborn and probably require detergent.
Vehicle paint is not designed to withstand the strong alkalines that vinyl siding can. The first step in getting rid of egg stains is to remove any pieces of shell so that they don t scratch the surface of the siding material while you re trying to remove the stain. This works great on auto finishes and we have had responses saying it worked from vinyl siding however the stain was relatively fresh. Try trisodium phosphate soilax with a little water or any of the over the counter vinyl siding cleaners paint thinner may work but don t know how well it would cut egg not sure if painting vinyl is a good idea because of the expansion and contraction the seams will move as much as 1 2 or more from hot to cold weather when it contracted wouldn t you have a bunch of seams that weren t painted.
Spray the siding with some water and then scrub with a little dawn dish soap and the rinse. Unfortunately this includes acts of vandalism like throwing raw eggs at people cars and houses. You could also try using dish soap or even shampoo. The best course of action is to remove the egg as soon as possible.
A power washer will make the job go faster and easier. In some instances this will rinse off all of the egg residue. If the egg hasn t dried yet you ll probably be able to wash away shell and much of the egg residue with a low pressure stream of warm water. Agitate with a stiff scrub brush and hose down with your garden hose.
Hose off the siding to soften and loosen the dried egg. Since egg stains on vinyl siding are extremely difficult to remove not even high volume power washing will take it off you have nothing to lose by trying this before having to replace that. Pour 1 2 gallon of hot water into a bucket with 1 2 cup dish soap. Take 1 cup of non bleach laundry detergent and put it in a bucket of warm water.
It will take some elbow grease and a good scrub brush.
