Remove Wax From Carpet Vinegar

Get any remaining bits of wax or dye stains out of the rug with a commercial cleaning solution or rubbing alcohol.

Seal the bag and put it over the wax for several minutes. Using the upholstery attachment on your vacuum cleaner vacuum up the bits of wax before they become embedded in the carpet fibers. Then wipe it off with a soft cloth. Heat an iron to a medium setting with no steam and press the iron to the paper bag directly over the wax.

Some google research has shown that the same thing can be done with a mixture of 1 4 white vinegar and 3 4 water. Place a brown paper bag or card stock over the wax stain and keep a towel nearby to protect the rest of the carpet. Place enough ice cubes in a ziploc bag to completely cover the wax stain. Use only a clean paper bag paper towel or absorbent cloth without any inks or stains.

Take two cups warm water 1 tablespoon dish soap and 1 tablespoon white vinegar. Use a clean white cloth to blot the stain dry. Using a clean white cloth apply the solution to the stain starting from the outside edges. A clothing iron can be used to remove a carpet stain such as dark juice wine and even candle wax.

Vinegar is an effective wax remover.
