Remove Pvc Cement From Carpet

Then pour distilled white vinegar onto a towel and wipe the area thoroughly for at least 1 minute. Boiling water will soften up hard to remove glue. Tough spots might require a power oscillating tool.

In this case use a floor scraper to remove the pieces of padding that remain stuck to the floor. If the pvc glue has not yet dried use a razor scissors or other sharp object to pull as much of the glue out of the carpet as possible. While pvc glue is a great asset to pvc construction it is not easily removed from carpet or other fabrics. Hopefully as you clean up your stain you won t be stuck with having to patch or replace your carpet.

Be careful with gorilla glue and pvc glue as they will be much more difficult to remove from the carpet. Mineral oil is the safest mildest product you can use but acetone and even clear pvc.
